In her practice, Dr. Parikh offers comprehensive care to individuals of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. Her integrative and holistic treatment approach combines psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy to address each patient’s unique needs. Her clinical research endeavors have resulted in publications and book chapters covering various aspects of mental health.
Trained in both clinical care and administrative skills, Dr. Parikh is currently a faculty member at New York-Presbyterian Hospital: Westchester Division and Weill Cornell Medical College. She was formerly the Chief of the Eating Disorder Unit at New York Presbyterian Hospital, a world-renowned inpatient treatment facility, where she was trained under Dr. Katherine Halmi, a world-class academician and clinician in eating disorders. Dr. Parikh has extensive expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of eating disorders, with her clinical research work resulting in publications and book chapters. She left full-time inpatient work to expand Second Arc Life Center.
Dr. Parikh now offers IV ketamine therapy for depression, PTSD, pain, and other disorders. Her expert team members can also offer opiate detoxification and suboxone therapy as well as MMP (medical marijuana program) for appropriate candidates with certain medical condition-related symptoms. In the pursuit of advanced treatment for conditions such as treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, and others, Dr. Parikh pioneered the introduction of ketamine and TMS to Westchester County in 2018. Since then, her practice has provided over eight thousand treatments to patients across the tri-state area.
